*     AGM

Each year, the club holds an AGM which all Running sisters are encouraged to attend.  It provides an opportunity for members to hear an update of the previous year's activities, to discuss and provide suggestions regarding the tasks and activities for the year ahead, and to elect new committee members.  To see the minutes of the 2008 AGM, please click on the link below:

*    Sunday 30th March 2008 - Running Sisters Annual 5K Race for Women, Monikie Country Park

On Sunday 30th March 2008 we held our annual 5k Race for Women at Monikie Country Park.  This year's winner was Kathryn Scott who finished in 20mins 31secs, closely followed by Fiona Edwards (22mins 5secs) and Mary-Ann McConnachie (23mins 19secs).  Fiona Edwards was also the first Running Sister across the finishing line and was presented with the Jenny Wood Allen Rose Bowl for the fourth year running.  Our sincere thanks to Monikie Country Park (and rangers), Tayside Contracts, St Andrews Ambulance, the Sweatshop and everyone else who helped on the day, and of course all the runners for supporting the event.

*     Apres Christmas Lunch / Evening Meal

This year we had a lovely meal at The Ship Inn, Broughty Ferry with a great turn-out of Running Sisters members.

  *     Congratulations:

To Jenny Wood Allen, one of our founding members, who received an MBE in the 2006 New Years honours list. Although Jenny is not running at present she is still an inspiration to many female runners whatever their age.
